October 3rd, Wednesday marks the 4333rd anniversary of national foundation day. About 4,000 people, including government officials, Koreans living abroad and personalities from all walks of life attended a ceremony observing the national day at the Sejong Cultural Center in Seoul.
Prime minister Yi Han-dong said in a congratulatory speech that it is more important than ever for the nation to have a firm sense of historical identity.
After the ceremony, various traditional cultural performances were held which will be continuing until the end of this month throughout the nation to celebrate the national foundation day.
