Delegates are making their final pitch to help the southwestern port city of Yeosu win its bid to hold the 2012 World Expo, with the selection of the host city just around the corner.

The Yeosu delegation at a news conference Sunday reviewed its efforts and analyzed its prospects against its competitors. The Korean delegates appeared cautious but confident over winning the bid.

The Yeosu bid committee rehearsed Sunday its last presentation that it will hold Monday in Paris for the International Exhibitions Bureau.

The bureau will select the host city of the 2012 World Expo at its general assembly.
A stream of delegations from around the world have arrived in the French capital for the gathering.
