A South Korean team will tour North Korea’s Mount Baekdu Tuesday to prepare for tours agreed upon at last month's inter-Korean summit.

The team will inspect runways and facilities at the neighboring Samjiyeon Airport for the operation of direct flights to the North Korean resort. It will also discuss tour routes with the North.

Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jung-eun agreed on October 30th with Pyongyang to operate tours to Mount Baekdu starting next May. The Hyundai Group is the parent company of tour organizer Hyundai Asan.
