A North Korean state-run broadcaster has belatedly reported on the visit by an international nuclear expert team to monitor the country's nuclear disablement.

The North's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Friday that experts and officials from six-party talks participant countries inspected the Yongbyon nuclear facilities on Wednesday to monitor the disablement process. It said the facilities were being disabled under an agreement reached between Pyongyang and Washington.

The news agency also reaffirmed the North’s will to complete disablement by the end of the year.

It added, however, that the North will closely monitor the moves of the U.S. and other parties, implying that corresponding measures including economic and energy aid must follow as agreed.
