U.S. court rejects comfort women's lawsuit

A U.S. federal court has rejected a lawsuit by Asian women seeking compensation for Japan's wartime sexual enslavement.
The Washington State Federal Court dismissed the case saying a court of law is not a proper way to settle the matter, even though the sexual slavery forced by the Japanese imperialists was no doubt a heinous criminal act.
Victims of sexual slavery from South Korea, China, Taiwan, and the Philippines filed the lawsuit last September in accordance with a federal law enabling victims of World War Two atrocities from anywhere in the world to sue for damages in the United States.
