A survey finds that many Korean women are postponing or refusing marriage to enjoy a free single life.

The Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs surveyed some 13-hundred married men and 87-hundred married women on attitudes toward marriage. The institute said some 30 percent of the women respondents said women tend to marry late or opt out altogether in order to enjoy the single life.

Male respondents, on the other hand, said men stay single for their careers first, followed by the single life and financial problems.
