The two Koreas continued talks into a second day Wednesday in Seoul, fine-tuning an agreement on cross-border economic cooperation projects reached at the inter-Korean summit in October.
The two sides, meeting at the deputy prime minister level, agreed to hold subcommittee meetings on the Gaesong Industrial Complex, farming and fisheries cooperation and public health before the end of the month.
They also agreed to on-site inspections of North Korean sites for joint economic projects and are discussing related schedules.
Before reaching the agreements, the delegates held working-level talks on shipbuilding and maritime transports, public health and medicine, and land transportation.
A South Korean delegation spokesman told reporters the two sides are continuing to fine-tune their agreements, adding the talks will end by Thursday morning.
However, the delegations are said to have failed to reach an accord on improved cross-border transportation, telecommunication and customs procedures for the Gaesong Industrial Complex.
