A ceremony marking the completion of a logistics center in Dorasan Station will be held on Monday.

The ceremony comes one day ahead of the launching of operations of inter-Korean railways.

Construction of the logistics center on a plot of some 328-thousand square meters first began in October 2005. The center, comprised of 22 buildings, will process one-point-six million tons of cargo annually.

The center also includes a storage facility, an animal quarantine station and a garage for railroad cars.

Some two-hundred officials are expected to attend the ceremony, including Unification Minister Lee Jae-joung and Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Moon-soo.

With the completion of the logistics center, some 23-thousand people and 76-thousand vehicles are expected to pass through Dorasan Station.
