Seoul, Moscow sign pact on sisterhood tie exchanges

Officials said Tuesday Seoul Mayor Goh Kun and Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov adopted a joint statement celebrating the 10th anniversary of their cities' sisterhood ties.
The two mayors promised to hold "Seoul Day" in Moscow next year and a "Moscow Day" in Seoul in 2003 as a display of their cooperative relations.
They said Seoul and Moscow will exchange exhibits of national relics and commercial goods, cultural and sports exchanges, and economic sessions.
Goh signed a cooperation agreement between Seoul University and Moscow University that includes cross-visits of professors and students and a joint hosting of academic seminars.
Goh heads to Prague Thursday to attend an international conference against corruption and returns on Saturday.
