The Ministry of Construction and Transportation said Tuesday that four Koreans residing in Pakistan for construction projects are set to evacuate to neighboring countries this week.
The evacuation decision was made after the United States began retaliatory attacks against Afghanistan's Taliban regime.
Two workers of Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. and Sambu Construction Co., will leave for India this weekend while two staff members of Daewoo Engineering and Construction Co., in Pakistan to manage construction machinery, received visas to travel to Oman or India.
The ministry added that the Korean firms are operating as normal in other Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia and Libya and have worked out plans to deal with a worsening in the situation, the ministry added.
