Korea, Japan Agree on Tourism Exchange Projects

The government and Japan agreed Thursday on joint projects to promote tourism exchanges as part of the 2008 Korea-Japan Tourism Exchange Year.

Under the agreement, the two nations will hold a ceremony to celebrate their bilateral tourism exchange year. They will also pursue youth, cultural and sports exchanges, while jointly developing tourism products for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Seoul and Japan agreed to hold the ceremony in the first half of next year in Korea.
