NK Conveys Formal Response to Bush's Letter

North Korea has reportedly conveyed to the United States a formal response to a letter sent by U.S. President George W. Bush.

Diplomatic sources in Washington said Friday that in the brief verbal message, North Korea acknowledged receipt of the letter and expressed appreciation.

The sources also said that in response to U.S. calls for the North to implement its immediate denuclearization commitments, the message was conveyed as "you do your part, we will do our part."

The message was reportedly delivered through New York where North Korea has a mission to the United Nations.
