South and North Korea will hold seven meetings and events in the North's city of Gaesong this week.

On Monday, the two Koreas held a ceremony to mark the beginning of a geological survey of a site for the second-phase development of the Gaesong Industrial Complex, followed by the first round of talks for cooperation on weather forecasting.

On Tuesday, the two sides will hold working-level talks on agricultural cooperation, followed by the launch of a foundation to support the operation of the Gaesong Industrial Complex on Wednesday.

A meeting on health and environmental protection for the industrial park will be held for two days from Thursday, followed by a ceremony to celebrate the completion of an office for coordinating inter-Korean economic cooperation projects.
