North Korea’s state-run broadcaster says China’s top nuclear negotiator Wu Dawei met with the North’s Foreign Minister Park Ui-chun on Tuesday.

The North's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), however, stopped short of elaborating on what the two officials discussed during their meeting.

Wu arrived in Pyongyang on Monday for a three-day stay.

He is scheduled to meet with his North Korean counterpart Kim Kye-kwan and discuss progress in the North’s nuclear declaration and an agenda for a meeting of the chief delegates to the six-way nuclear talks.

Attention is being drawn on whether Wu will deliver a letter from Chinese President Hu Jintao at a time when Pyongyang and Washington are said to be widely apart on the North’s declaration of its nuclear programs and materials.
