China’s Xinhua News Agency reports that Pyongyang and Beijing have vowed to strengthen their ties.
North Korean Foreign Minister Pak Ui-chun attended a New Year’s party hosted by Chinese Ambassador Liu Xiaoming and said the two countries have advanced their relations in all sectors.
Pak also expressed his thanks for Beijing's emergency assistance to the North during the recent flooding.
The ambassador responded that the two countries share the goals of peace and stability in the region, adding that China will strive to strengthen and develop its ties with North Korea.
