A group of North Korean officials on Wednesday visited a major South Korean shipyard in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province.

The North Korean delegation toured Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering's Okpo shipyard, one of the world's most advanced shipbuilding facilities.

Touring the world's largest dock in the shipyard, where Daewoo is building four 300-thousand-ton oil tankers simultaneously, the North Koreans peppered company officials with questions about shipbuilding process, taking notes and photographs of the facilities with digital cameras.

A company official said he explained to the North Korean visitors how much land and infrastructure is required to build ultralarge vessels.
