Korean Air (KAL) said Saturday it will begin showing healthcare programs from Monday for passengers travelling on flights lasting more than five hours.
Entitled "SkyTeam Care," the program offers a stretching routine designed to prevent neck, shoulder and back fatigue during long-distance flights as well as giving tips on clean health and travel.
The program is expected to contribute to preventing so-called "Economy Class Syndrome," a condition that could induce deep vein thrombosis (DVT), potentially fatal blood clots, caused from sitting for extended periods in cramped conditions.
KAL plans to show the 12-minute program after serving meals.
