The United States has denied setting a new target date for North Korea to provide a full accounting of its nuclear programs.

State Department spokesman Tom Casey told reporters Friday that the United States is continuing to work toward getting a declaration list from the North, but that there has been no new deadline set by the United States, by the North Koreans or by any other party in the six-party talks.

Under a six-nation accord, North Korea was to shut down its main nuclear facilities in Yongbyon and declare all of its nuclear programs by December 31st in return for economic and diplomatic incentives. But the North missed the deadline, citing perceived delays in economic aid.
