Gyeonggi Province will build a performing arts center in the West Sea.

The center will be built 70 meters off the coast of Daebu Island near Ansan. It'll cover two-thousand square meters and accommodate 500 spectators.

The province will hire a builder in the first half of this year and break ground on the project next year. Construction is slated for completion by 2010.

Provincial authorities plan to invite top architects to make the marine arts center, as they describe it, "a refined work of art in harmony with nature."
