South Korea's English language cable channel, Arirang TV, has launched around-the-clock satellite broadcasts to audience in North America.
An American satellite broadcaster ... EchoStar/Dish Network system ... relays all of Arirang TV's programs real time under an agreement signed last month.
Arirang officials say Spanish and English subtitles will be available for some programs, especially Korean movies and TV dramas.
Arirang TV has been transmitting programs on a limited basis to American cities with a large Korean community, including Los Angeles and New York.
Arirang TV says that with the enhanced viewership, it provides a window on Korea for some 37 million households throughout Europe, the Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Americas
