The government will push for the addition of Joseon Dynasty royal tombs and a dinosaur fossil site to UNESCO’s world heritage list.

The Cultural Heritage Administration said the royal tomb is 600 years old and the dinosaur
fossil site near the southern coast is the largest historical remains of the Cretaceous Period.

UNESCO will conduct an on-site inspection and then decide whether to add the Korean relics to its world heritage list at the next World Heritage Convention. The convention will be held in the summer of 2009.
