Hyundai Aims for 400,000 Tourists at Mt. Geumgang

Hyundai Asan says it plans to attract 400-thousand tourists to Mount Geumgang this year as it marks the tenth anniversary of the tour program.

The company had set the same goal last year but came up short, drawing about 348-thousand to the scenic mountain resort in North Korea.

The tour operator said it's likely to reach the goal this year, citing new attractions including a golf course.

Hyundai Asan, which posted more than 200 billion won in sales last year, is seeking to expand its sales to 300 billion this year. The firm will promote its new Gaesong travel package and also begin tours to Mount Baekdu from May.
