North Korea on Wednesday reaffirmed its intention to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula in accordance with the "action-for-action" principle of the October 2007 six-way nuclear accord.
North Korea made the announcement through the Choson Sinbo, a pro-Pyongyang newspaper published in Japan.
The paper said that the other countries participating in the six-party denuclearization talks have not kept even half of their promises of energy and other economic assistance.
In addition, the paper accused the United States of refusing to remove the North from its list of state sponsors of terrorism and lift sanctions under the Trading with the Enemy Act.
The paper also claimed that the North delivered its nuclear declaration to the United States in November, and that the two countries had "sufficient consultations" about the declaration.
