Gov't to offer 12 million dollars aid to Afghan refugees

The South Korean government has decided to grant 11 million dollars to Afghan refugees within the year following the one million dollars already offered to the war-stricken country.

Government officials said the aid money would be sent via UNICEF and the UNHCR and an additional grant would follow suit through the office of a civic aid group in Korea.

They also stated that the government would offer other economic and humanitarian aid to other neighboring countries including Pakistan through consultation with concerned countries
