Hyundai Asan said Wednesday its tourist cruise business to North Korea's Mount Kumgang picked up this month with tourists attracted by the colorful fall scenery draping the scenic mountain.

The company said the number of tourists travelling on its cruiser service increased to over 400 per trip, well over the 200 to 300 travelling before the change in seasons.

The company said 422 tourists took the round trip cruise to the resort aboard the Solbong on Oct.12th, and another batch of 467 made the trip on the cruiser Monday.

A Hyundai Asan official said the maximum number of tourists that can be accommodated both on the cruiser and at the marine hotel near the mountain resort is around 460 with two tourists per room.
