The U.S. Congress will help Korean Americans hold family reunions with their relatives living in North Korea.

Radio Free Asia said congressional inspectors will visit the North to find out how many North Korean relatives have kin in the United States, including a senior aide to the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and members of a congressional military committee.

U.S. President George W. Bush has signed a bill that requires Washington to report to Congress within the next six months a plan facilitating reunions between Korean Americans and their North Korean relatives.
