A street in New York has for the first time been named with a Korean title.

The New York State Korean public policy committee announced that a city official from Oyster Bay agreed to name a street Arumdawoon Street after holding a meeting with members from a Arumdawoon Church in the same area.

The newly named street originally did not have a name but received its new Korean title after the number of ethnic Koreans in the area grew and began to voice their opinions.
