South Korea and Japan have ended fisheries talks with an agreement to hold high-level talks to resolve their fishing dispute.
The two sides met in Tokyo Thursday and agreed to 'reasonably' settle the dispute in the spirit of the recent Korea-Japan summit talks held in Seoul.
South Korea demanded Japan not hurt the interest of South Korean fishing vessels in the waters off the Southern Kurils while Japan asked South Korea to respect Japan's jurisdiction over the four Russian-held Kuril islands ... which are claimed by Japan.
