The Louvre Museum has started offering a Korean-language information service on a trial basis.

The service will be provided through portable audioguides.

The 80-thousand Koreans who visit the museum will be able to hear commentary on 600 artworks in their own language. The museum plans to expand the scope of the service if it's successful.

The Louvre provides audioguides in seven languages including French, English, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese.

The Korean-language service is sponsored by Korean Air.
