Construction of Paik Museum Completed

The Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation says it will hold a ceremony this April to mark the completion of the Nam June Paik Museum south of Seoul.

The foundation said Monday that construction of the building in Yongin, which was launched in May last year, is now done.

The museum designed by the German architect Kirsten Schemel will open in October after preparations.

The art center, with two stories above ground and three stories below, will display about 23-hundred items. The collection will include some 70 works by the late video artist such as "Three Elements," "TV Fish," "TV Clock" and "Robot 456."
