‘US to Take Corresponding Measures for NK’

South Korea says the United States will take steps to remove North Korea from its terrorism blacklist if the North meets its obligations to a six-party nuclear accord reached last October.

A South Korean government official added that the U.S. State Department's annual report on terrorism is separate from the six-party process.

At the same time, the official suggested that if Pyongyang fully declares its nuclear programs, Washington can take corresponding measures.

The United States and North Korea continue to seek a solution to the declaration issue and to resume the six-party talks.

In particular, China, which serves as the chair country for the talks, is working to mediate between the two sides.
