The work of a Korean installation artist will go on permanent display at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) from Thursday.
The square-shaped installation piece, comprising tiles with words written in Korean, will be donated by New York-based artist Kang Ik-joong. The piece is aimed at promoting Korean culture as it contains the famous essay "Youth Admiration" by Joseon Dynasty scholar Min Tae-won.
The Paris-based UNESCO will feature the installation piece, which measures two-point-one meters on each side, at the entrance of its executive conference room.
"Youth" will be the fifth Korean work of art to be displayed at UNESCO headquarters.
