South Korea will soon have a law on preserving historical cities.
A group of ruling and opposition party lawmaker are preparing to submit a special bill for the preservation and maintenance of ancient cities to the National Assembly.
The bill designates capitals of Korea's ancient dynasties as special areas and restricts construction of modern buildings. It also obligates the government's financial support to repair damage done to historical sites.
