Gov't to Link Inter-Korean Relations to Nuclear Issue

Unification Minister Kim Ha-joong has hinted that the new government will link inter-Korean relations to resolution of the North Korean nuclear issue.

Kim told reporters Thursday that Seoul will take corresponding actions if Pyongyang makes what he called "positive, critical steps" toward nuclear disarmament.

On whether he plans to visit the Gaesong Industrial Park or Mount Geumgang, the former career diplomat said he won't rush to make such trips. He said that would create unnecessary speculation on inter-Korean relations.
