Visits to North Korea by South Korean civic groups have resumed after being suspended during a recent South Korea-U.S. military drill.
A charity group visited the North's Mount Geumgang resort Friday and delivered 50-thousand briquets of coal. They were originally scheduled to visit early last week.
The Korean Foundation for International Health Care will also treat patients at a Geumgang hospital for three days from Friday.
Nanum International will visit Pyongyang Saturday to discuss cooperation in health and medical services. The Korea Welfare Foundation will visit the same day for talks on improving children's welfare.
North Korean authorities in charge of tourist sites at Geumgang and the border city of Gaesong suspended visits by South Korean civic groups on March first. The announcement came a day before the U.S.-led Key Resolve exercise was slated to begin.
Pyongyang invited the groups back on March seventh after the military drill had ended.
