Unification Minister Kim Ha-joong said Wednesday that the future of the inter-Korean industrial complex in Gaesong depends on the resolution of the North Korean nuclear issue.

At a meeting with heads of South Korean companies running factories at the Gaesong Industrial Complex in the North, the minister said that the inter-Korean business project would not likely be expanded if the North's nuclear program remains unresolved.

He also said that it is up to the North to address the three major inconveniences the South Korean firms face at the complex - telecommunications, transportation and customs clearance.

Kim stressed that the North should make the complex more business-friendly, while creating a more favorable environment by sincerely dealing with the nuclear issue.
