WHO chief to visit Koreas Nov. 16-21

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said Monday Director General Gro Harlem Brundtland of the World Health Organization (WHO) will visit both Koreas from Nov. 16-21.
A ministry official said Brundtland will go to Pyongyang to attend an opening ceremony of the WHO representative office there on Nov. 16. After a four-day visit to the communist country, he will fly to Seoul on Nov. 20 for a two-day stay.
While in Pyongyang, he will meet with Foreign Minister Paek Nam-sun, Health Minister Kim Hak-su and other related officials to discuss international aid to rebuild the North's health care system.
