Businesses operating at the Gaesong Industrial Complex have voiced concern about inter-Korean relations after the expulsion of South Korean officials from an office at the site.

Earlier on Thursday, Pyongyang expelled eleven South Korean officials from an economic cooperation office in the North Korean border city.

An official at a council representing firms at Gaesong said Thursday the expulsion is not directly related to their operations, but they would be affected if inter-Korean relations deteriorate further.

Currently, 67 firms maintain operations at the complex. Construction of plants for 180 additional firms is under way.
