The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) said Wednesday it will send a delegation to the United States to express condolences over the Sept. 11th terrorists attacks and meet government and legislative leaders.
The delegation headed by Sohn Byung-doo, FKI vice chairman, is expected to visit "ground zero" the still smoldering ruins of the World Trade Center, and New York's City Hall where they will deliver money collected by Korean companies for the victims of the tragedy.
The FKI members will then travel to Washington where they are to meet Secretary of Commerce Don Evans, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Zoellick and other congressional and Bush administration leaders.
