Ethnic Koreans in the United States are cancelling tours to North Korea as tensions rise between the two Koreas.

Radio Free Asia reported cancellations at a New Jersey travel agency that sells tours to Pyongyang and Mount Baekdu.

An agency official says Korean Americans believe it's not right to tour the North at a time of rising cross-border tensions.

The U.S. government-funded broadcaster said agencies handling tours to the North predict the tensions could continue for the time being. They forecast that a recovery in tourist demand will be difficult in the near future.
