NK Issues Additional Verbal Attacks

North Korea has again issued verbal attacks against South Korea’s new government.

The Democratic Front for the Reunification of Fatherland and another agency charged with Korean Peninsula affairs said in a statement Thursday that conservatives in the South are pushing inter-Korean relations toward confrontation and collapse.

The statement added that South Korean officials are negating key inter-Korean agreements and threatening a preemptive strike against the North. It also claimed the South is actively assisting the U.S. in its anti-North Korea schemes.

The statement was issued on the 60th anniversary of the April Third uprising on the South Korean island of Jeju.
