The Ministry of Construction and Transportation said Wednesday a delegation dispatched by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will arrive in Seoul Sunday to evaluate Korea's air safety.
The ministry said it has completed measures to bring air safety back to the highest level within the year and the FAA experts will inspect the results next Monday and Tuesday.
The ministry said the FAA pushed up its inspection to ensure enough time to reevaluate Korea's air safety measures before the holiday season gets underway.
The ministry said FAA will decide whether Korea's air safety level should be upgraded or not after they return to Washington around the middle of next month.
