North Korea has asked South Korea not to bring poultry products to the inter-Korean Gaesong Industrial Complex in an attempt to prevent the spread of bird flu into the communist state.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul says the North Korean quarantine office at the Gaesong complex issued a ban on South Korean birds, poultry and eggs effective on Saturday.
