Two Koreas to Discuss Joint 6/15 Ceremony

The two Koreas will discuss the holding of a joint ceremony to commemorate the historic inter-Korean summit talks on June 15th, 2000 despite signs of strained ties.

The South and North’s committees for practicing the inter-Korean declaration will meet Friday in Gaesong for working-level talks.

An official from the South Korean committee said its chair Baek Seung-heon and seven other members will meet their North Korean counterparts in the border city to discuss arrangements for the ceremony.

The official said the South Korean delegates would propose that Seoul host this year’s event, noting that Pyongyang was the host last year.
