North Korea has reportedly told China it will cooperate in reopening the stalled six-way nuclear talks.

According to The Associated Press (AP), North Korean Foreign Minister Pak Ui-chun told his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi that Pyongyang is willing to work with the parties concerned to fulfill its obligations under the six-nation talks. In its report, the AP cited China’s official Xinhua News Agency, which covered Pak's visit to Beijing on Monday.

The report comes as South Korea’s top nuclear negotiator Kim Sook prepares to meet with his U.S. counterpart Christopher Hill. During their meeting Tuesday in Washington, the two officials will discuss how to get the nuclear dialogue back on track and also verify the North’s nuclear dismantlement efforts.
