A top North Korean official says his country will expand economic cooperation and exchanges with all countries around the world.

The North’s state-run Korean Central News Agency said the country's Trade Minister Ri Myong-san made the statement at the 12th U.N. Conference on Trade and Development held in Accra, Ghana last week.

Ri added that Pyongyang will work to develop its information technology and promote cooperation on development projects with international organizations.

The U.N. trade conference meets every four years to discuss development targets around the globe.
