NK Ranks Worst in Press Freedoms

A new report finds that press freedoms worsened worldwide last year.

In its annual survey on press freedoms, the U.S.-based private organization Freedom House said the media environment saw a decline for the sixth straight year in 2007 despite strong activity by online media.

According to the survey on 195 countries, North Korea ranked the lowest in terms of press freedoms. South Korea, meanwhile, came in 67th place along with Chile, Hong Kong, Namibia and Uruguay.
