The Federation of Korean Industries has opened the third annual meeting of the FKI International Advisory Council in Seoul, attempting to charter a new global economic order amid growing uncertainties.
This year's council meeting is scheduled to continue through Saturday. The council includes 15 international advisors, including former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
Under the broad theme of "sustainable growth of the global economy," the international advisors will hold four rounds of sessions on global politics, business and economy, the future of Asia in the new global economy and Korea's coming of age.
The FKI's international council members paid a courtesy call on President Kim Dae-jung early on Thursday.
