Korea Foundation gives Vietnamese students $22,400 in scholarships

The Korea Foundation handed US$22,400 in scholarships to Vietnam in a ceremony held at the Daewoo Hotel in Hanoi Friday.
In the ceremony, South Korean Ambassador Paek Nak-hwan, on behalf of the Korea Foundation, gave the money to Vietnam's vice education minister.
The foundation, under the control of the Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry, has given 412 Vietnamese students of Korean studies, sciences, and engineering a total of $82,400 in scholarships raised chiefly from the donations from Samsung Electronics Co. since 1998.
