Best Western International will make its Korean debut Thursday

BGH Korea, the local corporation of Best Western International, said Monday it will open the first Korean BWI hotel in Yusung, Taejon on Thursday.
BGH Korea reached a franchise agreement with BWI, one of the world's largest mid-range hotel chains, in June.
After renovating the Legend Hotel at Yusung, BGH Korea will reopen the hotel under the name of "Best Western Legend Hotel" with 75 guest rooms and three banquet halls.
BGH Korea expects to open its second and third hotels in Seoul before the end of the year.
The New Seoul Hotel in downtown Seoul has already changed its name to "Best Western New Seoul Hotel" in early November and plans to open officially at the end of the year.
The Eastern Hotel near Seoul's fashion mecca Dongdaemun Market
is also scheduled to reopen under the name of "Best Western Dongdaemun Hotel" in late December after repairs are completed.
BGH Korea plans to expand its franchise to provincial areas and reopen about 20 hotels over the next three years.
